Our wedding was FANTASTIC! Beautiful ceremony, top quality professional service, helpful, friendly staff, and wonderful food! All of our guests keep mentioning (even months after) how wonderful and unique our wedding was because of the location and service. I didn't have to worry about anything getting taken care of the day of, I was able to relax (how many brides can say that?) and enjoy the day with family and friends.Because of the planning service, I didn't have to negotiate with the caterer, or remind the bakery to bring the cake at a certain time. All of the little jobs that are tiresome and hard to remember were already taken care of for me. It is a beautiful setting to have a wedding. Our guests were able to wander the grounds and see all of the great sculptures and paintings before and after the ceremony. I thought it was great that they were entertained just by the surroundings. Even my wedding party was amazed! I kept hearing "Wow, this place is fantastic, I mean, really awesome."The only negative feedback I have is very small. The day before the wedding, it was suggested that we have a different number of guests at each table. This would have altered the number of linens, centerpieces, and the seating arrangement, all which I arranged weeks, if not months before the wedding. We went with the original plan, and everything was fine, but I think a suggestion like that should have been mentioned earlier than the day before. On the positive again, when I was planning the wedding, The Quarry was transitioning staff from the owner to something new. Then they transitioned back. I didn't realize that I wasn't receiving top quality service until I started planning with the owner. In one of the first e-mails, he asked how I got engaged, because he sensed there was a great story. Having a wedding here wasn't just business, it was a relationship with real people, who are really helpful and kind. I would recommend The Quarry to anyone who wants a beautiful, wonderful wedding at a unique location and doesn't have to pay an exorbitant amount to get it. It doesn't even compare to any of the other venues I looked at around the Seattle area. It was simply stunning.I also must comment on the negative review: I chose The Quarry firstly because of the unique location, but second, because they do NOT nickel and dime you. I was so relieved to finally see a flat rate on a website, rather than it costs blank amount to rent for a day, plus a fee to set up chairs, move chairs, take down chairs, have tables, etc. All of the other venues I looked at were not nearly as straightforward, honest, or friendly. It costs money to have a wedding, and it costs a lot of money to have a nice wedding, but there are also many ways to save. The Quarry never pressured me into anything that I didn't want, and always asked me first. They were always truthful about cost and I was able to track expenses every step of the way.
Perfect doesn’t do it justice but it really was perfect. Our photographer said he had never been to a better wedding and sure hoped he could come back. If you want people who really care about your wedding this is the place to be. We planned for months and nothing was forgotten, it all happened on our day. They are careful about all the details including the money and that was important to us so there were no surprises. We recommend this to all our friends with great enthusiasm… thanks to all
