When we were looking for a wedding DJ, we came to weddingwire and read Rick's reviews. He sounded too good to be true! At that point he had 87 reviews, ALL 5.0/5.0! Then we went to his website and were blown away by the content. He was so informative and clearly passionate about his work! Rick is so much more than a DJ! He is extremely professional and goes above and beyond his "DJ" role to make sure your wedding is the best one he's ever done! Before our wedding, Rick met us at our Portland venue just to see the space and then came again for the rehearsal. He purchased my dream bride processional song to make sure he had the right version. Other than that he already had every song we requested in his database and many more options we had never thought of! Rick will help you with anything you need from beginning to end! He is a great guy and to top it all off he is an amazing DJ! He did a great job at letting our guests know the events for the evening and the music kept people (of all ages) on the dance floor all night! Rick from Bass is Loaded! was by far the best decision we made with our wedding vendors. There is not enough room in this comment box to describe how amazing he was. Rick worked with us on a limited budget, drove from Eugene to Oregon City to attend our 30 minute rehearsal, made allll my ceremony 'visions' come to fruition, and delivered without a hitch! Everyone at the wedding commented on how awesome he was. I have been to countless weddings where the DJ is cheesy, plays songs that clear the dance floor, etc. and Rick was a breath of fresh air. I HIGHLY recommend!

We hired Rick as our DJ for our wedding. Rick is such a great DJ. He met with us before the wedding and came up with a playlist for different songs throughout the wedding and reception. He had lots of creative ideas and was a professional. Rick asked us the words we wanted to describe our wedding and we replied Classy, Beautiful, Fun and Personal. Rick definitely helped make our wedding have all of those attributes. All of our guests commented on how great the music was and how it really added to the atmosphere. We used the DJ as the MC for the night as well as to provide music as our guests were arriving, through dinner, and first dances. We had a live band, and the DJ provided music during their breaks so the dancing NEVER stopped! The DJ provided all the sound equip. which was very high quality, and video equipment which was used for the synergy production her produced with our photographer. It was outstanding, more than we expected! The DJ helped us to clarify a simple timeline for the night and fit in all the pieces we wanted like toasts, cake cutting, garter toss, bouquet toss etc. He took the lead in coordinating the evening with the band and make it all happen very smoothly. He was very good about comminication with us (the parents) so we were all clear about how things would happen the day of the wedding.

Rick was wonderful to work with. He was super professional, friendly, and knew what he was doing. He gave great advice on what he has seen done at other weddings and gave his recommendations on what we could do, but also allowed for the bride and groom to have full control over final decisions made. His recommendations and knowledge gave me great comfort when I had NO idea what to do or how things were usually done! He also put a lot of time into our first dance song revisions and he also kept the party going at the reception for the few of us left dancing up a storm. We had a great time.

my friends recommended him, so we gave him a call and he was really nice and cool, so we talked then booked him and when it came to wedding day he made everything sound so nice and good, and when it came to dance time he really got us dancing!

Rick did a very nice job and i plan on using him for future party's and was very flexible throughout the whole process. All my guest really enjoyed him. Make sure to look into noise permits because his sound is great, and he did a good job with the mics!!! great DJ

Working with Rick was so easy and fun. He was very enthusiastic and had great ideas to fit our theme and customize the music just for us. During the event he was flexible and made instant modifications to make sure everything fit into our time schedule. His equipment was all top-of-the-line and his set-up was very professional. I couldn't believe he was operating 3 different computers at the same time and made everything flow seamlessly. Don't skimp when choosing a DJ, if you want your event to be fabulous you need to hire the best!

Rick always responded to our emails and calls in a timely manner, and was able to incorporate all the suggestions we made. We relied on his expertise a lot, and he came through in every way. The party was fantastic. Everyone raved. Rick helped the party go smoothly, flawlessly, and provided atmosphere, energy, and exactly the right mood. He was able to act as an mc, and coordinate things we needed him to do, even when they were spontaneous requests. He took requests from guests and was able to be spontaneous and at the same time, he provided exactly the kind of mood we had asked him to help us achieve. I'd say that's a great value. Rick is personable, professional, and able to take charge where needed, but without drawing too much attention to himself. He supports the mood and doesn't overwhelm it. That's exactly what we were looking for.

I can't say enough about how they changed our wedding for the better. They really knew how to get a party going, the night was just amazing. Never had more fun in my life dancing with my husband and all my friends. The staff was really smooth and chill to work with, and it's a great way to entertain your guests.

after searching around i found bass is loaded, i saw there youtube page watches some videos and see that he is really into djing and i knew he would be great! and turns out he was great and will use him for other events!! A+++++++++

Rick went above and beyond anything we could ever expect!! From the very beginning of our professional relationship, he was completely on top of everything, from answering our emails/questions almost immediately, to soothing any nerves we had regarding our wedding day. His confidence absolutely held up on our wedding night. We got comments like "this is the most organized wedding i've ever been to! Everything went so smoothly!" Because of Rick and his guidance, no one had any idea that our ceremony rehearsal took all of 10 minutes. From the moment our guests arrived, to the toasting, to the cake cutting, Rick held our audience captive, made sure everyone knew what was going on, and got them moving on the dance floor! He played only the music we requested (60's, 70's, a little bit of 80's) in addition to "must play songs," and he played them EXACTLY when they needed to be played. His timing was spot on, and the music was totally rockin'! The lighting and equipment was top notch, and our karaoke was a huge party hit. Our favorite part of the evening (not to mention the part that had the bride bawling!) was when Rick surprised us with our vows mixed in to our last dance. It was the final touch on our magical night that made everything so, so perfect. We would recommend Rick 100% to ANYONE who needs the best wedding entertainment at a value that is so beyond what they pay. Rick, Thank You again, so much! You were the best!

Our wedding reception was SO much fun that many people said it was the best party they had been to. Some specific things that Rick did for us: Emcee'd and guided the event, provided a custom voice over song for our parent dance with our kids, provided reception music that exactly met our music tastes and kept the party hopping all evening long, provided great ideas for music cues and transitions during the ceremony and reception, and was professional and fun without being a "HUGE PERSONALITY" during the night. We are very glad to have taken the advice of other couples and hired a better DJ for our wedding, it was so worth the extra money.
