I actually ran into Mr. Yamaya first at somebody elses wedding. I ended up downloading a CD (http://www.tarniusmusic.com/HidekiYamaya) of his and we both really made the decision from there. Really a wonderful musician, but not pretentious like you sometimes run into with more classically trained musicians. He was laid back and had a great sense of humor. Great stuff!

Hideki was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. He played solo guitar and lute during our ceremony and reception and became an integral part of the entire event. He gave us a wide range of styles with amazing nuance and I can't say enough about his professionalism and performance overall. We heard classical, flamenco, celtic, latin and the wonderful lute. Laid back but a very serious musician. Please check him out.
