Sara Tro Photography

Sara is an absolute photography goddess! She is insanely talented, lovely to work with, and an amazing presence to have at any event. She made our guests perfectly comfortable being photographed, leading people without making them feel like she was directing them. Her brilliant eye for what is special, along with her great energy and stellar photos, make her the best choice for capturing any special event. I want her to be the photographer of my life! Sara was a truely a gift from above. She took a quirky and barely structured wedding and turned it into an artistic masterpiece. Her photos included gorgeous, intimate shots of my husband and I as well as amazing photos of the wedding party and guests, including candid snapshots and posed photos. Her attitude was fun and celebratory - she fit right in as she made the rounds capturing everyone on film. In addition, we received a phenomenal super 8 film that tops any wedding video I have ever seen. She captured the vintage feel of our wedding and the music she selected for the film was entirely expressive of the event. She also prepared a DVD slideshow which showcases our favorite photos. Working with Sara was a pleasure in every way and I highly recommend her!

Sara is a professional with a warm, beautiful way about her. Sara laughs and has fun doing her job. At the wedding, we never felt ordered around as we did portraits. (I've seen it!) Beforehand we discussed our ideas for our photos--our wedding was totally 1930's-40's vintage looking. Sara even visited the venue before the wedding! I enjoyed feeling that even though we were paying her to do something, she was having fun at our party. Love her!

Sara Tro is an exceptional photographer. Not only is she a joy to be around, she has an incredible eye for fine art photography and she gives 110% to her clients. We loved the photographs she took of our wedding. They tell the story of our special day and hold so much detail and beauty. Also all of our guests loved Sara, people feel very much at ease having their picture taken by her. Sara was a fantastic choice for photographer for our special day. Not only does she capture magical moments, but she turns them into works of art. She also created a super 8 movie for our wedding video that is unique and stunning, and will be treasured by our family for generations! Aside from being an outstanding artist, Sara is also a positive, warm, calming person to be around--she puts people at their ease and deals beautifully with cranky relatives! She was a joy to work with, and definitely has a gift for capturing all the love and joy of a wedding day on film. This was BY FAR my best vendor choice, and Sara will continue to be my family's photographer of choice for any future events!

We LOVE our wedding pictures and feel very lucky to have found Sara Tro. We planned a Seattle Wedding from NYC and a friend suggested I contact Sara. As soon as I met her, I knew that she would be a fantastic fit for our wedding. She went out of her way to meet me on one of my few trips to Seattle before the wedding and spent hours getting to know me and my ideas for the event. She came out to our wedding site twice to get a feel for the location and an idea of what the light would be like. She shot with 4 different cameras-a fancy digital camera, an old school manual camera, a medium format camera and a toy camera. As a result, we have several different kinds of photographs, all of which blew me away. Sara had a great eye for the "traditional" wedding shots of our families, wedding party, friends, etc. It's hard to get 30 people all looking great at one time and she nailed it. And in the photos of the guests and groomsmen (while they waited for the tardy bride!) the ceremony, dinner and reception, she managed to capture not only the subjects, but the mood of the event in a way I didn't think was possible. The photos are stunning. She also managed to take photos of the ceremony without anyone noticing she was even there--like a photographer ninja! Sara was great to work with and the results are fantastic. We didn't have a videographer, but we didn't need one. In narrative, texture, mood and tone, Sara's photos tell the story of our wedding day.

I had a destination wedding in the Caribbean, and I am happy to admit that I could not have made a better choice for a photographer than Sara Tro. Not only was she incredibly flexible about travel and the environment (it's not easy to hike from the NW to the Caribbean!), but she also was happy to work with us on the types of photos (we wanted lots of candids and not as many posed shots). Plus, to top it all off, she as a delightfully sunny personality, and set everyone at ease. The perfect person to capture such an important day. And SUCH fun photos. She's terrific.
