The Artisan Cake Guild

My experience with Tobey could not have been better. She is so accomodating and even made a specific cake recipe that I know and love. She makes the most beautiful cakes with awesome sugar flowers, that also taste amazing. I cannot reccomend her enough. If you want an absolutely stunning cake that is sooo yummy, go see her!

Tobey was an absolute joy to work with! She was professional, friendly and fun all at the same time. She responded right away to any questions we had, and we were able to meet with her at our convenience(we were planning our wedding long distance). We were a bit surprised on our wedding day though. Our cake was supposed to have all white fondant frosting with silver diamonds(sort of like an argyle pattern), with blue and orange hydrangeas. She confirmed that this is what we wanted the cake to look like. When the cake was delivered, it was not the correct color. The whole cake was a silvery-gold color except for the flowers. I don't know what happened, but it was a bit disappointing.

we didn't have a traditional wedding cake. instead she made our favorite desserts - a yummy twist on a tres leches cake -- a 'quatro' leches cake with dulce de leche and a rich, bread pudding with a buttery bourbon sauce.

Tobey at Sugar Cake Studio was wonderful. I had a very special untradional request for my wedding cake that other bakers would not take on. I contacted Tobey and she was willing to take on the challenge. We scheduled a private tasting and she even made a mini of what I had in mind. She was wonderful, I would definatley recommend Sugar Cake Studio to anyone.

They re-iced a layer for free when we accidently squashed it! Delicious! We now always order our Birthday cakes from them.
